AFG Aviation Ireland Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Aircraft Finance Germany GmbH, successfully placed two (2) Airbus A321-231 aircraft bearing serial numbers 6399 (reg. YI-BBA) and 3458 (reg. YI-BBC) with its customer Global Aviation for Air Transportation Ltd. Global Aviation is a new airline based in Baghdad, Iraq and was established as a public-private partnership between the Iraqi Government and a renowned Iraqi businessman.
Global Aviation specialises in Hajj and Umrah flights out of Iraq and will start operations this year.
