Dr. Andriof has more than 22 years of industry and leadership experience. Prior to joining Aircraft Finance Germany in 2023, he held senior leadership positions at Titan Aviation Leasing, most recently as Chief Operating Officer. Dr. Joerg Andriof was leading the day-to-day management and ongoing development of Titan Singapore’s activities including customer targeting, customer acquisition, aircraft acquisition and placement, financial planning and reporting, and operations and strategic development. Earlier, he held senior level positions at DHL Express, Lufthansa and KPMG.
Dr. Andriof has a Diploma in Business and Engineering. He received his Ph.D. in Industrial and Business Studies from Warwick Business School, UK.

Mr. Fei Chen joins Aircraft Finance Germany after an accomplished career spanning over two decades in the aviation industry. He brings to AFG his vast experience in airline operations and aircraft leasing. Mr. Chen started his aviation career in 2002 with Hainan Airlines and worked in leading roles for the airline in aircraft acquisitions and leasing. In 2009, he joined the Aviation Leasing Division of Minsheng Financial Leasing. At Minsheng he served successively as corporate jet sales manager, the head of Corporate Jet Acquisitions and Operations, and as Vice President of the division. Before joining AFG, Mr. Chen spent nearly eight years in the commercial aviation leasing division of Minsheng Financial Leasing in the role of Deputy CEO.
Fei is based in Dublin, Ireland.

On 28 September 2022 AFG Aviation Ireland Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Aircraft Finance Germany GmbH (Germany), completed the acquisition of one (1) Boeing 757-200F aircraft bearing MSN 25622 as well as one (1) Rolls-Royce RB211 engine with ESN 30512 from a subsidiary of ASL Aviation Holdings DAC (Ireland) for its customer Airline Geo Sky LLC (Tbilisi, Georgia). For the Georgian cargo airline, founded in 2017 and currently operating successfully two (2) B747-200F aircraft, the newly added B757-200F will further contribute to the development of the airlines’ freighter network.

Miss Kira Chong has more than 20 years of experience in various management and sales & marketing roles in business and commercial aviation. Before joining Aircraft Finance Germany, Kira worked For The Boeing Company and Bombardier in sales and marketing positions. She was also responsible for the marketing efforts in Asia Pacific for Titan Aviation Leasing, a cargo aircraft lessor.
Kira holds degrees in Accounting and Finance and in Business Administration. She obtained her Master’s Degree from Macquarie Graduate School of Management in 2005. Kira is based in Singapore.

On July 20, 2022, AFG Aviation Ventures No. 1 (Ireland) Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Aircraft Finance Germany, completed the acquisition of one (1) Rolls Royce RB211-535E4 engine bearing ESN 31391 from a subsidiary of Florida-based Gryphon Aviation Leasing, LLC. The engine is currently on its way to Budapest (Hungary) where it awaits installation on a Boeing 757-200F airframe.

Tohru has more than 30 years experience working for Japan Airlines in various executive roles and across different departments: maintenance, aircraft and engine selection, design and engineering and group fleet planning.
He also worked for GE Aircraft Engines as a seconded employee at the combustion center of excellence in Cincinnati, Ohio. He later became the managing director of the Association of Air Transport Engineering and adopted aerospace regulations for MROs, flight operations and cabin safety from FAA and EASA. He has also worked closely with IATA and ICAO.

On 11 July 2022, AFG Aviation Ireland Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Aircraft Finance Germany, completed the acquisition of one (1) Airbus A330-200 bearing MSN 926 from a subsidiary of French shipping giant CMA CGM S.A.
The aircraft will shortly be ferried to Teruel Airport (Spain) for storage while it awaits conversion with Elbe Flugzeugwerke GmbH (EFW).
AFG‘s Peter Koster, Head of Freighter Lease and Trading, comments: “We are very pleased with our acquisition of this strong asset from CMA CGM. We are bullish regarding the long-term outlook for the air freight industry and this aircraft will perform nicely post conversion as a full freighter.”

AFG Aviation Ireland Limited (AFG), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Aircraft Finance Germany GmbH, is pleased to announce the sale of one Boeing 747-8JA bearing serial number 40065 to The Boeing Company. AFG ferried the aircraft on April 15 from Basel, Switzerland to Marana, Arizona. CEO Christian Nuehlen comments: “We are more than pleased that the aircraft has found such a good home at Boeing. I would like to thank both AFG’s team and the team at Boeing for their hard work and dedication to this project.”

KG (Germany). AFG placed the aircraft with its customer Yemen Airways Co. – Yemenia (Yemen) for the airline to resume its A330 operations.

AFG Aviation Ireland Limited (Ireland), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Aircraft Finance Germany GmbH (Germany), completed the acquisition of two (2) Boeing B747-8F freighter aircraft bearing MSN 37562 and MSN 37563 from Saudi Arabian Airlines Corporation (Saudi Arabia) for its strategic partner Hongyuan Group (the People’s Republic of China). The Hongyuan Group is the official warehousing and storage services provider for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Beijing 2022. Both aircraft will be operated by Air Belgium on behalf of Hongyuan Group.

AFG Aviation Ireland Limited (Ireland), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Aircraft Finance Germany GmbH (Germany), completed the acquisition of four (4) Airbus A330-200F freighter aircraft bearing MSN 1688, MSN 1708, MSN 1584, and MSN 1594 from Qatar Airways Group Q.C.S.C. (Qatar) for CMA CGM Air Cargo (France), the new air cargo division of French container logistics and shipping giant CMA CGM S.A.
All four (4) aircraft will be operated by Air Belgium on behalf of CMA CGM Air Cargo.
The transaction closed in two phases. The first pair of aircraft were delivered in early February from AFG to CMA CGM and the second pair followed in late February 2021.
